Dr. Shafiqul Ameen comes from a Muslim family. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Dhaka Medical College. Presently, he holds the position of Assistant Scientist at ICDDR,B, an international health research institute based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has gained over 10 years of valuable experience in public health research. His father, Mr. Khairul Ameen Taquir, served as the General Manager of the Daily Morning Sun newspaper. In 2021, Dr. Ameen joined this company as an Independent Director.
